Convection is a physics term used to describe a situation in which an element is heated through a hot fluid (a gas or a liquid), instead of getting heated by direct contact with a hot surface (conduction). Convection is used in the context of cannabis consumption, as a feature provided by many vaporizers, as well as the way in which dabbing works. In convection, the cannabis is heated through a warm air flow, that transfers heat evenly and avoids burning the concentrate or dried flower.
