Hash oil, BHO or butane hash oil, also referred to as dabs, wax, honey, or shatter, is a highly concentrated cannabis extract that contains a strong amount of the plant’s active compounds. As opposed to traditional hashish or hash, hash oil is extracted from the cannabis plant by the use of a solvent (usually butane). The resulting substance can be smoked, vaped or ingested in small amounts to provide a very strong, quick-acting effect. Hash oil is also popularly consumed by dabbing.
