Sativa

Sativa (Latin for cultivated) is a term used to describe a subspecies of the cannabis plant. The term Sativa is used, in contrast to Indica, to colloquially describe certain cannabis strains that have tall stems with narrow leaves and produce a euphoric, mind-altering effect. However, there is no scientific evidence to support the idea that Sativa and Indica are two separate species, or that they even contain consistent chemical profiles. The term Sativa should not be confused with Cannabis Sativa which is the scientific name of the cannabis plant.
